Tone For Christ Quad Cortex Preset

Business Strategy
The business mission is to make it free and easy for electric guitarists at church to have the essential tone for praise and worship music. Releasing a preset that is easily downloadable and readily available will eliminate the search for a guitar sound similar to what is used on the albums by famous worship artists/collectives like Elevation Worship (Elevation Worship, 2026) and Bethel Music (Bethel Music, 2026)by putting it right at your fingertips. Access to the preset and pedal captures will be available through the Cortex Cloud. Social media and general word of mouth in the church community will be used for all marketing of the products. Instructional videos, question and answer livestreams, preset explanation and breakdown, song covers and live in ear monitor mix videos to be released as promotional content on Instagram and YouTube. The financial cost of the pedals is negligible because I would buy all these pedals anyway or already owned them since this is not meant to be my primary income but a side hobby. Meaning this a zero-risk project with potential of reward in the form of publicity, getting more gigs and monetization from content creation. However, the broader goal is gaining attention for Christian music and helping other electric guitarists looking for the worship guitar sound.

Why focus on Christian Music?
In 2024, Christian music was the fourth fastest growing genre of music in the United States (Marconette, 2024). The global growth of Christianity as a religion has directly correlated to the growth of the Christian music scene (McCracken, 2024). “Part of what makes Christian music unique as a genre is that it doesn’t have one “sound” but rather can draw inspiration from almost every existing music genre—from folk to Afrobeats to techno to metal and more. Like Christianity itself, Christian music is transcultural and finds expression in limitless ways.” (McCracken, 2024).

Modern Church Venue (North^ Church)

What is the Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) Sound?
Compression to polyphonic octave generators, multiple stages of overdrive, distortion and huge fuzz sounds, into a plethora of modulation effects for certain songs, massive reverbs, cascading dual dotted eighth and quarter note ping pong delays and amplifiers in stereo (WorshipGuitarSkills, 2024). This can be a lot to take on. Christian worship songs are full of big builds (Leadworship, 2019) going from ambient textures and crisp cleans to chunky rhythm and soaring leads.

Why the Quad Cortex?
The Neural DSP Quad Cortex is already a huge amount of money and can be a struggle to understand especially for the Christian Contemporary Music sound. “Quad Cortex is the most powerful floorboard amp modeler on the planet.” (Neural DSP, 2026). It is used by some of the music industry’s most acclaimed guitarists (Neural DSP, 2026). The Quad Cortex has over a hundred effects built in to the unit (Neural DSP, 2026) meaning it covers all the needs for ambient textures with reverb and delay as well as all the modulation and pitch effects used in the genre. It removes the hassle of a big pedalboard as it is compact and lightweight but provides all the same capabilities with the addition of amp modelling.

What is a Neural Capture?
“At its heart, Neural Capture uses machine learning – a sophisticated process similar to what companies use to create their internal amp models. The big difference? Neural DSP has put this powerful tool directly into your hands. Instead of waiting for a developer to profile an amp you like, you can capture your very own gear. The Quad Cortex “listens” to your gear and creates a digital clone.” (Nail The Mix, 2025).

Pedal Captures

Pedal captures will be incorporated into the preset but also available to download separately on the Cortex Cloud. This is because some Quad Cortex users might be happy with their own preset but want to try a new overdrive pedal. The pedals included are the Suhr Shiba Drive (Custom, 2015), Cornerstone Colosseum(Cornerstone Music Gear, 2026) and Analog Man Prince of Tone (AnalogMan, 2026). These are all boutique overdrive pedals and there will be multiple captures of these pedals with various settings on the knobs. These pedals combined will cover all the gain stages and dynamic changes required for worship music. My preferred setting for each pedal will be included in the preset. As I acquire more pedals, more captures will become available and updated versions of my Quad Cortex Preset will also be uploaded to the Cortex Cloud. These of course will be downloadable from my Cortex Cloud profile (Neural DSP, 2026) for no added cost.

Market Analysis
There are various other presets available by reputable guitarists in the Contemporary Christian Music scene. Notably Jake Fauber (Teddy Tones) (Fauber, 2026) who has captured his pedals and amplifiers and created a Quad Cortex preset (Fauber, 2026). The way my product differentiates itself is through the cost. Fauber’s preset costs one hundred and twenty-five dollars while I am essentially giving away the same sound free of charge. There is also no way of just getting the pedal captures without purchasing the whole preset. This can be a huge hassle if you only need one overdrive pedal capture to add to your preset. From market research I have found that there are very few Quad cortex presets for worship music that are free and the ones that are free are often not worth using as they do not meet expectations.

Marketing Strategy
I plan to use social media to market my product similarly to Signal Theory who have also released pedal captures and Quad Cortex presets (Signal Theory, 2026). This will be a form of viral marketing, “a style of promotion that relies on an audience to propel the message, rather than relying on hefty media budgets to gain reach” (Don’t Panic, 2025). Examples of this are Signal Theory’s Sunday service in ear monitor mix posts (Wahl, 2026), where they upload themselves playing along at their church using their product. Like other competitors, Jake Fauber has also released a video explaining and breaking down what is going on in his Quad Cortex preset (Fauber, 2026). I will film a very similar style video going through what each thing does and how to implement it for use at church. “Typically, viral marketing costs are a fraction of traditional advertising campaigns. In this way, advertising is essentially free when consumers infectiously share their positive experiences with a company’s products and services with others” (Kagan, 2025). The comment section can be used as a place where customer post their reviews of the products. “Reviews show your potential customers that your offerings are reliable” (Dave, 2018). Hosting livestreams like question-and-answer panels will elevate customer engagement. “In social media marketing, likes are often the go-to metric for measuring engagement. But here’s the reality: social media comments are 10x more powerful than a like.” (Sellas, 2025). Livestreams are built on people commenting and asking questions. I would style the livestream similarly to That Pedal Show (Show, 2026), who are well known guitar aficionados, answering questions all about guitar tone however I would tailor the answers toward the Contemporary Christian Music sound.

Marketing Strategy Continued
Apart from posting my own content on social media, I will encourage other guitarists and industry professionals in the CCM scene to post and advertise my Quad Cortex preset and pedal captures through their own social media platform. User-generated content (UCG) will be instrumental is marketing the Quad Cortex preset as it “has become an important part of the content marketing strategy in the current era where customers are ready to rave about your products or services online UGC refers to the content that is created by the users of a brand. It can be anything from comments, reviews, and images to social media posts” (Dave, 2018). This kind of positive engagement will boost downloads of the preset and pedal captures. “Think of UGC as the modern-day word of mouth — most people trust recommendations over straight advertising” (Beveridge, 2025). Albeit there is a chance for negative reviews and content that degrades the product. The brand will have no control over what is posted. “Many times, people who leave reviews of brands have no authoritative background, which can make their reviews unreliable” (Cottee, 2023). I will try my best to respond to negative feedback with solutions to the problems people might face with the product.

Advantages of Social Media Marketing
“Social media has the power to make your content go viral and help you reach a massive audience within a short time. Through creative campaigns, compelling storytelling and user-generated content, you can increase your chances of creating viral marketing moments, leading to exponential growth in brand awareness and engagement” and “Social media platforms provide affordable advertising options to reach out to a wider audience” (Karishma Borkakoty, 2024). Virality could launch your product to become the next big thing. With social media costing little to nothing, there is almost no risk to marketing using your desired platform.

Disadvantages of Social Media Marketing
“Maintaining an effective social media presence requires a significant investment of time and resources. Creating and curating engaging content, managing multiple social media platforms, maintaining a consistent brand experience and responding to customer inquiries demand continuous effort” and “Social media platforms frequently update their algorithms, affecting the reach and visibility of organic content. These social media algorithm changes can significantly impact a business’s social media strategy. You must stay updated on platform changes and adjust your approach to maintain visibility and engagement with your audience” (Karishma Borkakoty, 2024). While the monetary cost is low, it still takes a significant amount of time to film, edit and post content on social media platforms. Responding to comments and reviews will also demand attention.
