Synthesis Explanation/information :

Bass – for my bass i had 2 basses, one with slightly less cutoff and more mid range frequences, and the other with a large amount of cutoff and boosted low end with a notch filter at around 60-70HZ to help the kick come through. For my first bass, I mapped my Env 1 onto the cutoff on my filter. My env 1 also had 138ms release time with a small amount of attack and a decay of 177. This was to create a snappy bass that didn’t sustain and clash with other mid-range sounds in the mix. Finally i had 2 oscillators and a sub at -2. octave, to give the bass volume.

For my low end/sub bass, I kept it relatively simple, no mapping onto filter but rather just an punchy bass that dominated the low end. My mid bass was already doing most of the work so i didnt want to over produce this area.

Synth leads.

i have 2 main leads that combine with each other, one pad like synth playing, and the prodominent synth, in the mix.

For the main synth, I have 2 oscillators, one at -1 octave and the other on -2 octaves. I also slightly detuned each oscillator so it wasn’t the same sound, just one octave lower. This helped create some texture. I mapped my env 1 onto my cutoff filter. There’s a decent amount of decay on my Env 1, this is to create a bigger, wider-sounding synth to help stand out on the drop. I added a subtle amount of attack at 2ms and kept the release relatively short at 112ms.

Finally, the pad-like synth was very simple. Mg low filter on, with the cutoff at around 10 KHz; no mapping on the cutoff this time. kept the envelope to default with max decay and sustain. set release at 15ms so it didn’t carry over when there was a different note, however. Had 2 oscillators and some white noise to add texture. and then finally i slightlky boosted the resonance

For the other bits of ear candy and stabs, i had loads of random stab sounds, so i messed around with them but mainly changed and morphed them into my desired sound using effects rather than synthesis.
