Synthesis process evidence
The first synthesis part in my track that I created, comes in a 2:23. I created this synth with the idea to try and make an 80s sounding synth similar to the sounds of the Yamaha DX7. I used my Korg Minilogue to create this synth, using the minilogues 2 oscillators, i layered a low sine wave under a high saw wave that was slightly detuned to give the sound a chorus effect. I used the minilogues built in reverb effect and put a saw wave LFO on the pitch to give the synth more movement.
The other synthesis part in my track is the granular piano that comes in at 2:40. To create this, I resampled the piano part in the previous section of the track through alchemy’s granular synthesiser, I then increased the grains to 7, gave the sound some stereo offset and randomised the panning so that you can tell that the original piano part has changed into a digital, synthesised version of itself.
