Synthesis process evidence

I used a total of 6 synths in my composition, and I intended to use them to represent different instruments. They are all used quite a lot throughout this song and they all are meant to have an 8-bit vibe.

ESP – I used this synth to represent a piano, it has a short attack which makes the note play instantly, it mainly uses a square wave which a bit of added chorus and overdrive to give it a bit crushed sound and it has high frequency to make it sound bright

ES1 – This was one of the synths I used for solos and other melody lines throughout, I put the mix to purely the wave option over the sub which makes it have higher frequencies rather than the low one. I added pulse width modulation to give the synth variety, and it has no resonance.

ES2 – I used the ES2 as the other main solo synth used in this composition. It has a short attack making it play instantly. it also is made up of 2 waves, the saw and the triangle wave giving it a harsh sound. I also gave it an effect to target the pitch of the synth edited by the mod wheel on the keyboard. This is used throughout when the synth is playing.

Alchemy – I used this synth for making a resonance in the background of the song, which would have low notes which partner up with the bass. Using 4 different waves, it ends up making a low sound to add ambience to the song.

Sculpture – I used this to resemble a sound of a xylophone. Putting it to a wood sound gives it the xylophone texture. Having a lot of cutoff on the filter makes it sound higher as it has more high frequencies

Retro Synth – I used this to add chords and to build up texture throughout the song. Using the FM mode, I used frequency modulation in this synth to give an 8 bit sounding added chords.
