Retro Synth Ostinato/Riff: A lead riff part enters at 1:21, for which the basis was an aggressive sawtooth wave but with a short glide and long filter attack. I adjusted the pitch bend range to 2 octaves so that when it was triggered at the end of each phrase it sounded completed and dynamic. This created an elegant but bold focal point that contains most of the melodic content in the rest of the piece.
