Synthesis process evidence
This is one of my favourite basses; it was originally a preset, but I’ve modified it significantly. It started as a distorted mid bass, but I changed the waves to sine waves, trying to transition it into a wub. The LFO is affecting the filter, ‘wubbing’ the bass. I also used the macros to get the sound how I liked it, using it mainly for distortion and adding harmonics.
This is the mid bass I made. This one was made from scratch, and while it’s a simple patch, it fills out the lows well, and fits nice as a layer. There is a lot of distortion on this patch.
I made a gated bass using a square wave and volume automation, its very distorted and i only use it for a slight second in the riddim drop.
