Synthesis process evidence
Below include information on the synthesis processes incorporated within the composition. You may add any media that is appropriate using the block menu on the left-hand-side.
I used VITAL to synthesise two virtual instruments. The first one was a bass sound. Oscillator 1 was a sine wave set to direct out to set me with a clean, untouched sub. Oscillator 2 was a square wave with 9 voices of unison to create a wide bass. applying chorus, compression and distortion via the effects tab in vital, I was able to produce a gritty bass that added atmosphere and glued the track together.
The second sound was a synth pad. Using a square wave and a saw wave passing through a lowpass filter, I was able to get a clean and interesting sound from the start. Modulating the panning of each oscillator and applying chorus and reverb helped me create a loot of stereo width with just one sound.
