Synthesis process evidence
Lead Synth 1
- Used granular synthesis with a synth sample I made on the Korg Minilogue for a previous project
- this sample had a lot of high end, so I used really simple additive sampling to bring in some low end to fill out the sound
- This was adapted from the ‘Lead Synth 2’ patch below
Lead Synth 2
- Slightly different ADSR – to have a longer attack
- Uses a different section of the original sample
- Aimed to have a more atmospheric sound
Lead Synth 2 Layer
- Almost identical to Lead Synth 1
- played an octave above
Vital Stab
- Pre-set I made and use a lot
- Sidechained a gate to the Kick to get a rhythmic sound
- flanger adds some variation and movement over a phrase
