My portfolio is all originals that I’ve done with different artists. 3 out of the 4 songs are originals by an Artist called Talitha Kelly. 2 of the 3 songs (‘Something I’ll Never Get Over’ and ‘Party Games’) are part of an EP called ‘Through The Looking Glass’ that is now released on all major streaming platform. When I was approaching these songs, I really wanted to the drums to sit nicely in the song and not takeover. The lyrics are really the main part of the song. They are about some struggles that the artist has been through. Because of the delicate nature of the lyrics, I wanted the drumming to copy that delicacy and stylistically fit in. The next song ‘What do you see’ was quite a groovy song, so I played around a bit more with it, while also keeping it quite chill.

‘I wanna feel something’ was by an artist called Lucy Mckeown. This was a one-off recording. It was originally going to be half time shuffle but thought that would be too crowded so we spaced it out a bit to the beat you’re hearing.
