The graphic score I made, which we all had in front of us, is an interpretation of the jazz standard Yes or No by Wayne Shorter. I’ve experimented with drawing a continuous line in reaction to the music, as I listen while I studied art at school and I decided that I wanted to use this concept as a graphic score. My only instructions given to the other musicians, was to start from one end of the line (top left) and work your way around, and to keep playing even if the other musicians had made their way along the line faster.
