Statement of Intent

This is a portfolio submission because the work you will see is a continuation from one of my very first bands I performed with. This work is sentimental. It would feel wrong performing this work without my former bandmates by my side. The songs and artwork provided here is a continuation of a concept album based around a young woman who battles with mental health. I have chosen to show this work in the form of singles and not an album. The reason behind this because the songs are performed out of order with the theme and concept of where they would lie in context of an album. Not every song is fully realised. They have had intended vocals replaced with guitar due to the singer not having time to record all intended vocals. Due to the nature of this project it would have felt wrong asking others to provide vocals for the tracks. Due to the intent to carry on from previous work, there has been a conscious effort to tie this project to the work of my old band.
