This is a warm up for releasing tension in my body. It is to get my body ready for a neutral position and to be open. This short warm up is a new thing that really releases tension for me I’ve decided I am going to start using it before each day of lessons to start each lesson more open physically so inhabiting another characters body and tension is easier. I’ve found based feedback from teachers and through body scans, I hold a lot of tension in my shoulders. I would add a body scan in the start of this warm up to analyse where I am holding tension in my body that day then proceed to release tension from those places. My goal is to do this warm up regularly over the next year so it is easier to release my body and therefore easier to adapt to characters.
